Shaker Cheese Casserole
cheese/eggs
4 each slices bread
2 each slices cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 single butter
2 cup milk
3 each eggs, beaten
1/8 teaspoon tobasco sauce
1 single grated cheese
Butter bread and make cheese sandwiches. Butter a flat baking dish and place sandwiches in dish. Cut sandwiches to fit dish if necessary. Mix eggs and milk together, beating well. Add seasonings. Pour mixture over sandwiches. Let stand at least 3 hours in refrigerator. Sprinkle dish with grated cheese. Bake at 325 degrees, 1 hour. If desired, casserole can be prepared the day before, and baked when ready to use. It may be served with crisp strips of bacon on top.
