Shaker Chicken Casserole

2 cup diced, cooked, chicken
1/2 cup pementos, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup milk
2 each eggs
1 can mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Cook chopped onion, celery, and green pepper, until tender. Combine with chicken, pemintos, mushrooms, and mayonnaise. Line baking dish with buttered bread squares. Spread 1/2 mixture over bread. Add another layer of buttered bread, then another layer of chicken mixture. Beat eggs, and add milk to eggs. Pour over all, in baking dish. Spread mushroom soup atop casserole. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 325 degrees, 45 minutes.
