Summer Choir

at St. Agnes Church

You are invited to join in a new singing group over the summer months at St. Agnes Church.  Normally the choirs take off during the summer for a variety of reasons – it’s hot, kids are out of school, you want to bond with nature, yada, yada, yada.  This year quite a few folks from St. Agnes Parish and other parishes expressed an interest in continuing to sing over the summer months, so we got the idea of forming a Summer Choir from whoever wanted to sing – a kind of ad hoc group of … well, people like YOU.  Musicians of all ages and from all choirs and all parishes are welcome!

No weeknight rehearsals

We will rehearse at 9:15 am Sundays for the 10 am Mass.  With Internet access, you can practice on your own using Virtual Rehearsal on our website, www.stagnesmusic.com.

No interference with your vacation plans

You can sing one Sunday or every Sunday.

No long-term commitment

A great way to try out choral singing without making a big commitment.

No difficult music

We will concentrate on Unison, Two-Part, SAB, canons, and music of Taizé – just good music – on the lite side!

No fun

Just kidding!  It will be fun, and we’ll throw a party sometime over the summer to make it really fun!

No guesswork

We will communicate music plans via weekly email – or snail mail for the informationally challenged.

No sweat

Since we rehearse and sing on Sunday mornings only, we will be in comfy air conditioning in choir loft!

No sign ups

You don’t have to sign up or join anything – just come up to the choir loft at 9:15 on Sunday mornings over the Summer.

No waiting

Jump on in next Sunday, June 15th at 9:15 am.  Have a lofty experience this Summer!
